TableHawk Privacy Policy

Effective July 31, 2026 · Aerie Labs

The short version: TableHawk collects nothing. It has no servers, no analytics, no tracking, and no way to see your data even if we wanted to. Everything the extension does happens locally in your browser.

What TableHawk does

TableHawk detects tables on the webpage you are currently viewing and converts them into spreadsheet formats (Excel, CSV, Markdown, or clipboard text). All detection, extraction, and file generation run entirely on your device. Exported files are created in your browser and saved directly by you; they are never uploaded, transmitted, or seen by us.

Data we collect

None. TableHawk does not collect, transmit, store, sell, or share any personal information, browsing history, page content, table data, or usage analytics. There is no telemetry of any kind.

What is stored on your device

TableHawk uses Chrome's built-in extension storage (chrome.storage) to remember two things: your Pro license status and your export preferences (such as the "smart numbers" toggle). This data lives in your own browser profile, syncs only through your own Google account's normal Chrome sync, and is deleted when you uninstall the extension. We cannot access it.

Permissions, explained

TableHawk requests the minimum permissions Chrome offers for this job. activeTab and scripting allow the extension to read tables on a page only after you click the TableHawk icon on that page — it has no standing access to any website and cannot see your browsing. clipboardWrite lets exports be copied to your clipboard when you choose a copy option. storage holds the local settings described above.

Payments

TableHawk Pro purchases are processed by our payment provider, not by the extension. Payment details are handled entirely by the processor under its own privacy policy; TableHawk itself never sees or stores payment information.

Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new effective date. Because the extension's architecture cannot transmit data, any future change would still be bound by that design.
